Sapphire Cooling Sensor Cut-Off
Error E3 indicates an open-circuit, short-circuit, or anomalous temperature reading detected across the NTC thermistor embedded in the sapphire contact cooling head. To prevent thermal epidermal burns or Peltier cell failure, firmware halts pulse generation.
Sapphire Cooling Thermal Sensor Trip
Error code E2 indicates an open-circuit, short-circuit, or over-temperature condition at the negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor monitoring the sapphire ice-cooling contact head and Peltier thermoelectric cooler (TEC). The MCU halts flash discharge and cooling drive to prevent epidermic thermal injury.
Blue Flash Continuous Beeping Fault
The Ulike Air 3 indicates a flash inhibit fault state through rapid blue LED blinking and continuous acoustic buzzer warnings. This lockup is triggered by the MCU detecting open-loop Peltier/sapphire thermistor feedback, high flash-head temperature, skin-contact capacitive/optical sensor occlusion, or under-voltage on the main xenon discharge capacitor rail.
Xenon Capacitor Charging Timeout
The main microcontroller triggered an E2 safety lockout due to the dual-lamp high-voltage photoflash capacitor failing to reach target operational potential (typically 380V-420V DC) within the maximum allowed charging window (exceeding 1200ms).
Sapphire Cooling Overheat Shutdown
The E2 fault triggers when the internal NTC thermistor detects an over-temperature state exceeding 55°C at the thermoelectric peltier assembly or sapphire contact window, forcing an emergency shutdown to prevent thermal skin burns and protect the Xenon flash tube.
Sapphire Ice-Cooling Subsystem Failure
The alternating blue and white flashing LED sequence signals a thermal management fault in the Peltier thermoelectric cooling (TEC) circuit or internal NTC thermistor loop. The MCU trips hardware interlocks to prevent epidermal burns from a non-chilled sapphire window or component degradation from an uncooled xenon flash lamp.
