Bank Split Relay Malfunction
DTC P1A5500 indicates a fault in the high-voltage bank-charging contactor circuit. On the PPE platform, the 800V battery divides into two parallel 400V packs for 400V DC fast chargers. The BMS detected a state mismatch or welded/open circuit on the high-voltage split relay.
800V Bank Contactor Communication Fault
The High-Voltage Battery Management System (BMCe) has lost CAN-FD/LIN communication with the internal battery bank-split contactor control module. On the PPE platform, the 800V pack splits into two 400V banks via internal pyrofuse and contactors for 400V DC fast charging; loss of communication inhibits contactor actuation and triggers an immediate high-voltage red instrument cluster warning.
